Stakeholder Advisory Council

The Stakeholder Advisory Council is charged with advising the C2CPII Board of Directors, the Standards Steering Committee, and staff on market and implementation issues related to the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program and general C2CPII strategies for the growth and impact of Cradle to Cradle Certified across product sectors and regions. The Council is composed of a variety of stakeholder groups that are either frequent users of the Cradle to Cradle certification framework or familiar with the application of Cradle to Cradle principles. These stakeholder groups include industry leaders and representatives from government, public sector, academia, NGOs, and others such as end users, specifiers, investors, funders, or service providers with an interest in and relevancy to the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program. Stakeholder Advisory Council members are appointed by the C2CPII Board of Directors.

Dorien van der Weele

Sustainability Manager, Wienerberger Nederland

Dorien van der Weele is responsible for the sustainability program at Royal Mosa, a Dutch ceramic tile manufacturer based in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Since 1883, ceramic tiles are created here with respect for people, materials and the surrounding area. Over the last ten years Mosa has embedded Cradle to Cradle in all of its design, development and production processes.

Ensuring relevant sustainability certifications and communication tools are Dorien’s top priorities. Other key activities include support for clients in creating ‘green’ buildings, and working with Mosa’s ceramic specialists on the sustainability innovation roadmap.

Dorien holds a Master degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Before joining Mosa, she worked for Philips Lighting in Eindhoven, the Netherlands and Lyon, France. When not working, Dorien is likely to be outdoors or she is exploring countries and cultures with her husband and sons.
