Dr. Christina Raab

Vice President, Strategy & Development

Dr. Christina Raab is a passionate sustainability leader at the interface of circularity, sustainable development and innovation. As Vice President, Strategy & Development she is responsible for the planning and implementation of growth, innovation and impact initiatives for the programmes and services of the Institute worldwide. In this role Christina also leads funding relations and strategic partnerships with clients, stakeholders and partners globally and represents the Institute externally as part of the leadership team.

Prior to joining the Institute, Christina served as Global Implementation Director at ZDHC, where she oversaw member and regional expansions, and established the training Academy and Implementation HUB to accelerate chemical and environmental improvements in the global apparel, textile and leather industries. Earlier Christina held leading positions at forefront sustainability consulting firms MADE-BY and CSCP, where she worked with a variety of private companies, multi-lateral organisations and public institutions to advance the integration of sustainability in core business practices and to drive sustainable development across global value chains. She has successfully led holistic C-level and on-the-ground sustainability assignments with multiple sectors from consumer goods to manufacturing across Europe, Asia, the Americas and North Africa. Christina started her professional journey at the environmental branch of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation and holds a PhD in materials chemistry from the University of California Santa Barbara / Vienna University of Technology.
