Manager, Built Environment
Bergen joined C2CPII in August 2019 where she is responsible for growing the Built Environment sector through outreach, education, and policy development. Bergen’s academic career is defined by a decade of environmental studies, and her work history spans various science and technical disciplines.
Bergen previously worked for ToxServices, where she served as an Accredited C2C Assessor, certifying many built environment materials and products. Most recently, Bergen served as a Project Manager for Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a global environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting firm, where she supported projects in the Product Stewardship & Sustainability technical communities globally. Her prior experiences also include conducting a carbon footprint audit for a child protection charity; educating the public about biodiesel for a biofuels company; establishing a carbon emissions factor database for a carbon offset organization; and managing the commercial real estate portfolio for a water management firm.
Bergen holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science: Legislation & Management from the Institute for the Environment and Law School at Brunel University London and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Sciences and Global Sustainability from the University of Virginia.
