Anna Kelles

Dr. Anna Kelles represents the 125th District in the New York Assembly, including Tompkins County and part of Cortland County.  Assemblymember Kelles has been a staunch champion of climate change solutions, natural resource preservation, criminal justice reforms, and housing affordability and accessibility.

She is the lead sponsor in the NY Assembly of the Fashion Sustainability and Social Accountability Act, legislation that would require fashion sellers to be accountable to standardized environmental and social due diligence policies. Dr. Kelles earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental studies from Binghamton University and a PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology from The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
