Institute welcomes three new Board Directors
The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors as of 1 March 2022. The new members bring additional pivotal experience, networks and leadership that will help to further scale the positive impact of the Institute across the globe and accelerate a safe, just and circular transition.
The new Board Directors are:
· Andrea Álvares, Chief Brand, Innovation, International and Sustainability Officer at Brazilian global personal care cosmetics group Natura & Co (parent company of Natura Cosméticos, Avon and the Bodyshop). Andrea has received prestigious international accolades, such as “Forbes Most Influential Women in Brazil”.
· Joel Makower, Chairman and Co-founder of leading media and events company focusing at the intersection of business and the clean economy, the GreenBiz Group. Joel has published more than a dozen books and has earned the title of “guru of green business practices” by the Associated Press.
· James Schaffer, Chief Strategy Officer at integrated software platform Higg, delivering sustainability insights and data measurements for consumer goods industries. James has been a trusted and sought-after strategy advisor to many of the world’s front-running sustainability organizations.
New Board Vice Chair appointment
Additionally, as of 1 January 2022, Dr. Christine Lemaitre, CEO of the German Sustainable Building Council and Institute’s Board member since 2019, has been appointed to serve as the Board Vice Chair, collaborating closely with the current Chair, Gerrit Bruggeman.
