Institute announces new appointments to its Stakeholder Advisory Council

The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is pleased to announce that three new members have been appointed to its Stakeholder Advisory Council as of 10 March 2022, joining the multi-stakeholder group advising the Institute on strategic direction, Program implementation and global positioning. The new members deepen the Council’s sustainability and circularity leadership and bring strong networks in their respective industry and policy fields.

The new members are:

Heather Barker, Global Vice President, Regulatory, Hygiene & Group New Growth Platforms at British multinational consumer goods company Reckitt.

Heather also serves in a number of industry boards, and in 2020 she was selected for an EU Commission High Level Roundtable industry seat for the implementation of the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability.

Kari Herlevi, Project Director, Circular economy for biodiversity at Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra - an independent public foundation that drew the first national road map to a circular economy in 2016.

In 2022 Kari has been nominated as a member of the Strategic Research Council of Finland.

Jeannie Renne-Malone, Vice President Global Sustainability at VF Corporation, the global apparel, footwear and accessories company comprising brands such as The North Face, Timberland, EastPak, Icebreaker, Kipling and Napapijri.

Jeannie leads various strategic sustainability initiatives including setting and tracking progress towards the company’s Science Based Targets, and development of VF’s Green Bond Framework.


The Stakeholder Advisory Council is charged with advising the Institute’s Board of Directors, the Standards Steering Committee, and senior staff on market and implementation issues related to the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program and general Institute strategies for growth and impact across product sectors and regions. The Council is composed of a variety of stakeholder groups that are either users of the Cradle to Cradle certification framework or are familiar with the application or specification of Cradle to Cradle principles.
