Cradle to Cradle Certified® recognised in Australia’s building scheme Green Star

Cradle to Cradle Certified® Version 4.0 has been recognized by the Green Building Council Australia under the Responsible Products Framework of Green Star.

The vision of the Framework is to drive the supply chain to deliver transparent, healthy, low-impact and net zero carbon products that are part of a circular economy.

The Framework outlines criteria for scoring how ‘responsible’ a product is, to support the built environment industry in adapting to and driving this change.

Products using recognised product certification schemes or initiatives are awarded under four credits in Green Star Buildings:

  • Responsible Structure
  • Responsible Envelope
  • Responsible Finishes
  • Responsible Systems

In Green Star Buildings, there are two levels of compliance for products known as ‘Good products’ or ‘Best practice products’. The Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Standard Version 4.0 has been recognised as “best practice” in all four credits.

Visit the website of the Green Building Council Australia here for more information on the Green Star Responsible Products Framework and the official recognition status for Cradle to Cradle Certified in each credit.

The recognition marks a significant step for the growth of the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program in Australasia, accelerating climate and circularity action across real assets in the region.
