Join the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute’s Certification & Standards team for an inside look at how the objectives and requirements of the new Cradle to Cradle Certified Version 4 standard (currently in draft form) provides a framework and a pathway for designing and making products optimized for the circular economy.
Dr. Susan Klosterhaus, C2CPII Head of Science and Certification, along with Dr. Justin Bours, Dr. Matteo Kausch, and Esther Julier will guide you through the new requirements, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share feedback along the way.

Keynote Address: William McDonough
A globally recognized leader in sustainable development, William McDonough co-authored Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things (2002), widely recognized as the seminal text of the circular economy design movement, and its follow up, The Upcycle: Beyond Sustainability—Designing for Abundance (2013). McDonough received the Presidential Award for Sustainable Development (1996), the first U.S. EPA Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2003), the National Design Award (2004) and the Fortune Award for Circular Economy Leadership (2017). Time magazine recognized him as a “Hero for the Planet,” noting: “His utopianism is grounded in a unified philosophy that—in demonstrable and practical ways—is changing the design of the world,” and in 2019 Fortune magazine named him one of the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders.
