  • WasteBuild 2019

    WasteBuild 2019

    This year the C2C Bouwgroep will be present at WasteBuild 2019 with their own stand. WasteBuild is an international event for architects, engineers, clients and developers. The central themes for this year are : "Cradle to Cradle, dismantling and circular economy"

    WasteBuild is the first and only international built environment event with the dedicated ambition to eliminate global waste. Today, the construction process accounts for 40% - 50% of all materials used globally and for 20% of the waste created. Increasing public awareness and an appetite to tackle waste in all forms is encouraging the adoption of robust circular economy roadmaps across all governments, with innovations in the built environment critical to every plan. This movement away from the old linear 'take, make, waste' approach towards a circular economy is backed up by regulations, standards and initiatives like that described in the BAMB video opposite.

    WasteBuild 2019 is the only event dedicated to the international architecture, engineering and construction community and to specifically understanding the opportunities that the circular economy brings. Learn, be inspired and do business at WasteBuild 2019 and make sure your organisation is maximising the opportunities of the new circular built environment.

  • Transitioning to Circular Business Models

    Transitioning to Circular Business Models

    R2π: – transition from linear 2 circular is an EU Horizon 2020 project that enables organisations and their value chains to innovate towards more viable, sustainable and competitive economic models. The project examines how to transition to Circular Economy Business Models (CEBM), by focusing on the enablers and barriers of both the market and policy-making. The ultimate objective of the R2π project is to accelerate the widespread implementation of a circular economybusiness models and policies to:

    – Ensure sustained economic development;

    – Minimise environmental impact;

    – Maximise social welfare.

    Since October 2016, the R2π Consortium – composed of experts from the business sector, public bodies, think tanks and universities – has conducted in-depth business case studies, surveys and stakeholder exchanges to identify the key enablers and barriers faced by organisations transitioning to a circular economy, and we are now pleased to invite you to attend this final conference.

  • Seminar & Debate: The sense and nonsense of material-passports

    Seminar & Debate: The sense and nonsense of material-passports

    On Friday October 4th the Cradle to Cradle Bouwgroep organises an unique seminar and debate for architects, designers, developers and building environment professionals. Participants are informed on Material Passports and circulair building projects.

    The Material Passport
    Material Passports give building materials an 'identity'. The goal of the passports is to generate value by mapping and highlighting the potential for re-use and recycling of products and materials for varying stakeholders. Additionally a material passport can provide insight into the health and safety aspects of a material/product. During the seminar you will learn the different varieties of passports available, as well how they can be applied within your project(s).

    Speakers of the day include Madaster, EPEA NL, Circular IQ, Cradle to Cradle Bouwgroep, Van Wijnen Bouw, Montea Vastgoed and engineering bureau Sweco.

  • Webinar Circular construction

    Webinar Circular construction

    As part of World Green Building Week 2019, Mosa is hosting a webinar about circular construction.

    The building industry is one of the largest consumers of raw materials and energy in the world. It is responsible for 35% - 45% of all waste. Energy saving, healthy materials, intelligent use and re-use of materials are key elements of the industry’s sustainability approach towards a full circular construction.

    In this webinar we will explain the Cradle to Cradle concept at Mosa, the related product certification program and its link with ‘green’ and circular building goals.

    Learning objectives

    1. have an insight in why there is a need for circularity in the building industry;
