Course Description
Interest in healthy and safe products is increasing, but it can be challenging for specifiers to navigate ‘red lists’ and ‘banned lists’ of chemicals of concern and juggle evolving LEED standards.
The Cradle to Cradle Product Certification Program helps consumers compare and select the best materials for human health and environmental sustainability. This course will introduce Version 3.0 of the Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM Products Program, now administerred by the non-profit Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. The multi-attribute assessment evaluates a material and associated processes against standards in five categories: Material Health, Material Reutilization, Renewable Energy & Carbon Management, Water Stewardship, and Social Fairness. We will provide detail on how each of the five attributes is evaluated by independent assessors and outline the process for third-party verification.
The course will also outline how Cradle to Cradle Certified products can contribute to LEED projects.
A complete course description is avaialble.
